I wish they would stop with reboots and sequels of old shows, and make new original content.

I wish they would stop with reboots and sequels of old shows, and make new original content. I have mixed feelings. On one hand a good show is a good show. It doesn't matter if it's a reboot/sequel or a brand new series. It still takes the same amount of effort and creative intelligence to produce a good series. I also think there is something to be said about franchises. I love seeing a universe build and watch these fictional characters journeys over many years. These reboots and sequels also help employ a lot of people who might not otherwise be employed. But then on the other hand it kinda makes you wonder what potential brand new series they could be overlooking in order to produce established content?

I'm still watching the original! It seems like it lasted a few too many seasons the first time. It's not bad, but could have wrapped up sooner.
