He's this generations Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle etc. And not one in ten Americans can name him. It's not like he plays in a "backwater" like KC or Pittsburgh. I expect Angels front office to spend like drunken housewives who hit a number to get a team behind him. Should have been done five years ago

Every time the Angels are in town to play the Yankees or Mets, I make it an appointment to attend at least 1 game in said series. Players of his talent don't grow on trees and must be appreciated.

You won't see a guy like this come along again for another 40-50 years.

8 seasons. Top 4 AL MVP voting all 8 seasons. 7 top 2's. I think a WS appearance for someone like that is enough for ultimate legacy. I don't think the sport hones in on rings quite like the NBA & NFL.

The Angels are the little sister to the Dodgers.

The Angels are the little sister to the Dodgers. Yet the Angels have more recently won a World Series.

The most amazing thing is that he’ll probably never reach the playoffs again wasting away in that shit organization.

I did not know him until I found out from my Echo he won his third MVP.

The amazing thing is trying to imagine what could happen if he could actually lead the Angels to the playoff.

All kidding aside, Trout is an enigma. The guy was good in high school but he wasn't the best player on the freaking planet good. How he became the best player on the planet I have no idea.
