Eric Idle, of Monty Python fame: "How is American beer like making love in a canoe?" "It's f____ close to water."
*************************
I'm no expert on beer/s ... wine is my general preference. I do like Guinness, and dark ales.
I went to college in Oregon, during the '60's. Oregon law prohibited the sale of Coors (it had something to do with the way that Coors was/wasn't pasteurized). It was a big deal, when someone crossed the Columbia River, into Washington, or drove home from California, with a haul of Coors.
I was curious to taste it. The first taste was much like slightly flavored water. I had no idea what the big fuss was all about. I can't imagine how tasteless Coors LITE must be. I'm not sure that I've ever had either version of Miller's ... but, they used to have a pleasant commercial jingle.

Beyond that, it aint for me.

Also if you're out doing yard work on a hot day and want to guzzle a beer, it would be my beer of choice. Going out to dinner, I'm choosing something else.
