...and declares he will pass on the shares to fans Groups. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50496062Colin Weir is a lifelong "Jaggie" and has put money into the club before. When he and his wife won £161 million in 2011, he bought a newly developed, but unoccupied posh housing estate (in Largs I think) and gave all his friends a house there, for FREE.

Better than splaffing it away to the SNP like he’s done before!

I must admit to having a greater than passing interest in the Jags due to their sectarian stance. I used to feel the same about Hearts but it waned for, paraphrasing Murray Walker, the exact same but completely opposite reason.

They'll say "Yeah, but are you Celtic Partick, or Rangers Partick?" 😉 Hearts are loyalist protestant, but you know that.

That sounds like Christopher Hitchens’ great line about Northern Ireland - “Are you Protestant or Catholic ?” “Jewish Atheist actually” “Are you a Protestant Jewish Atheist or Catholic Jewish Atheist ?” I know Hearts’ religious leanings. That’s why my ‘interest’ in them waned - likewise I nary care for the Old Firm at all, and would rather clubs like Partick, Aberdeen or Kilmarnock succeed and end the gross Celtic/Rangers and Hibs/Hearts BS dominating Scottish Football.

I used to live in the Outer Hebrides. First thing I was told was if someone asks you if you like football, who do you support? They mean Celtic or Rangers. They are trying to find out if you are protestant or Catholic, the question isn't about football at all. The Outer Hebrides is sectarian. That was 30 years ago, might have changed? But back then, you didn't want to walk in to the wrong pub wearing a Celtic or Rangers top or scarf. Top tip... the outer hebrides is amazingly beautiful, the wildlife is stunning, the people are lovely (mind you the weather is real shite)... But if anyone asks you about football, just say you don't like football. And never discuss religion or politics in a pub, if you don't know whose pub you are in, and know yer on their side.

Hopefully he will do something about their child (and adult) scaring mascot... That's the best thing about the club! They used to have a nice bumblebee mascot. Kids liked that, it was cute... Now when they see the mascot, they cower under their seats praying "Not me Lord, save me, I'm too young, it's not my time!".

Way, way back in the day when I was a schoolboy, "ma wee gang" decided to protest about the great Glaswegian divide and we supported Clyde, who played in white shirts with black shorts, for a season. They had a few decent players like Harry Haddock, who in spite of his name was Scotland's left-back, a classy midfielder Archie Robertson and another Scotland star, Tommy Ring, a left-winger who could score goals. They played their home games at Shawfield which also doubled as one of the city's premier venues for dog-racing. I loved that place. That season was also, by coincidence, one of the worst in Celtic's history and led to the resignation of Celtic legend, Jimmy McGrory as manager. I also liked Firhill and their colours of red and yellow

Aw c'mon guys. Leave the scary fecker alone. Not his fault, his mother shagged a haggis on death row at a drunken "going away" party
