I wish they would bring this back. It made for some interesting conversations.
Here's a video about it -

I remember. The Sporting News used to have a little column called "You're the Umpire", which was in a similar vein. But it got silly.
Yankees leading the Red Sox 3-2 in the 9th. Sox have bases loaded. Carl Yastrzemski hits a shot into right field. The ball bounces once, lands in the pouch of an escaped kangaroo. The kangaroo then leaps over the RF fence. Is this a home run?

I do remember that - - but I liked Alcoa Presents Fantastic Finishes even more.

I do remember that - - but I liked Alcoa Presents Fantastic Finishes even more. I liked their catchy jingle in their ads, "Alcoa can't wait... for tomorrow!" To this day I still have no idea what they were selling but I just know I liked their song! And you just gotta love their propaganda idea of getting you to buy aluminum over glass in the video you posted. Unless they were a recycling plant, I doubt they really gave a damn if you recycle your cans or not.

This was narrated by the late, great Happy Kalas. Also, John Facenda. Both were Philadelphia institutions and mainstays at NFL Films which is still located in near by Marlton, NJ.
