As one who is decidedly tired of the Patriots talk, take a moment to vote for your favorite rock trio of all time. Pick up to three.

So many great choices here. Beasties are probably my second favorite band of all time (behind Zep), so they get my vote.

Thread of the day, thank you for saving us. LOL, I do what I can. As the one who made this thread it was still hard for me to choose. With the exception of Muse I like all these bands.

Yeah, I'm not a particular fan of Muse but I have seen them live at festivals a few times and they put out a pretty terrific sound for a trio. I went with Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana. Obviously, Nirvana isn't anywhere near as technically accomplished as the others on your list but they hold a special place in my heart given when they were popular during my formative years.

I went with Cream, ZZ Top, and Motorhead. But I could have picked like 6 others. Cream didn’t last that long but the impact that these three virtuoso musicians had had is immeasurable. ZZ Top prior to the Eliminator album was extremely underrated. They have a million great songs beyond what you hear on classic rock radio. And Motorhead just kicks so much ass.

Only reason I didn’t list them is because keyboardist Reese Wynans became an official member at some point, thus making Double Trouble plus one.

Not one of 12 voters before me voted for Rush? It's like this thread was started to fvck with me.

Does Nirvana count since they added Pat Smear toward the end? That said, ELP, Rush, America, George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, ZZ Top, The James Gang, The Police.

Can't decide between The Police, Cream, and Nirvana. Hendrix 4, ELP .

I mean sure, they would count, but they only existed for one album. My list isn’t exhaustive but I think I included the major ones, so hence the option “other.”
