Shiver me timbers! You can't beat a bit of ELP's Pirates if consuming a tot or two of rum.

I mean sure, they would count, but they only existed for one album. My list isn’t exhaustive but I think I included the major ones, so hence the option “other.” Other is where this German trio called...um...Trio would fit. As well as the Violent Femmes

Cream is the epitome of the rock trio, nothing else comes close.
Jimi Hendrix Experience, though I actually like Band Of Gypsies better.
Nirvana
The only trio I could think of that wasn't on the list and maybe should be was The Stray Cats.

Not one of 12 voters before me voted for Rush? It's like this thread was started to fvck with me. Can't stand Geddy. That's just mean. They didn't sound anything like that by the end.

19 voters and I'm the only one who's voted for the greatest trio of all. And no votes for Triumph? You guys are anti-Canadian!

The lack of real punk (not Green Day) in this thread is disturbing.

The lack of real punk (not Green Day) in this thread is disturbing. I was never a big fan of punk so my knowledge of the genre is limited.
