There are at least a dozen movie and TV versions of A Christmas Carol (probably more, including a Scrooge gender switch and animated with Mr. Magoo). Every community theater in the nation is going to perform a stage version. As I said in another thread, I would rip my own head off before I would sit down in front of another production. It is inescapable. I'm sick of it. Sorry.

The George C. Scott version is my go-to Christmas Carol.

The trailer doesn't look very good but I'm a sucker for any Christmas Carol adaptations so I'll definitely give it a shot.

I always do. And I usually read the Dickens' novella, too.
It's a toss-up between A Christmas Carol and A Charlie Brown Christmas for Best Christmas Story Ever.
Die Hard gets honorable mention.

OMG, another one? I'll stick with the Alastair Sim, the only real filmed version of this.
Scrooge seems to have become the dumping ground for every over-the-hill actor in Christendom to have a go on.

I watched the Patrick Stewart one the other night. I've always thought that was a pretty good version, probably the best since George C Scott.
