Surprised this didn’t have a thread already what with all the Panthers fans on this board.
I don’t think Rivera is a bad coach at all. Next stop, Dallas?

I think Rivera is a good coach, I think this is just one of those cases where it was time for a franchise and coach to part ways. I think Rivera should get another head coaching job soon.

I think Rivera definitely will catch on with a new team. All those Andy Reid guys are like a virus in the league, can’t shake them. But not Pittsburgh. Tomlin will be there until he decides to retire. He’s only the third coach there in the last 75 years or so.

The only thing that might hurt his chances is that the new flavor of the month are teams looking for the next McVay.

Freddie kitchens seems like a b b. Wonder what Rivera could do with the talent on the Browns.

I don't think I've ever met or spoken to a Panthers fan. I'm sure they exist but never personally interacted with one. Is Rivera a good coach? He seems to be well respected by analysts and writers but so was Mike McCarthy and most of us fans know that he was average at best. That said...I could see McCarthy getting that job and ruining CMC.

He worked under Gettleman in Carolina - - I could see him being the Giants next head coach.

If they stay in the playoffs, he could easily win Coach of the Year, so he's going nowhere.

He quit on the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 going into the 4th when they were down 16-7, saying it was hopeless. Then he gave up on the team the following season when they started the year 1-3. Talk about a sunshine soldier!

Good call, McCarthy will probably be coaching next season. Atlanta is a possibility for him too.

Good call, McCarthy will probably be coaching next season. Atlanta is a possibility for him too. He'd fit in pretty well in Atlanta in all honesty. He'd have a good QB and good to great weapons at WR. He'd have no use for Hooper though as his offense doesn't throw much to the TE or the RB's which is why I said he'd ruin CMC if he got hired at Carolina. If they fire their coach I think they'd be the favorite for him. I think the Browns too if they fired Kitchens. It's odd that he got fired yet he still lives in Green Bay.

The Panthers will also have to pay Cam Newton $21.5 million dollars next year. If they cut him, they can save $19 million. End of Cam too?

The favorite thing to do now is put Newton on the Bears. They're trying to figure out if Kyle Allen is their future QB. They took a guy in the last draft in like the 3rd or 4th round too. I think they've prepared to let Cam go.

What happened to McMoron? I would have thought someone would have wanted someone with "SB win but so many playoff losses" on their resume by now. Guess no one is that desperate. Yet.
