How about a new Venom cloned from the Connors sample instead of Ai Apaec?

That could work. I can easily see Tony barely keeping Venom 2 under control throughout the fight and Team Cap would ending up a lot more bruised and battered. Of course, that'd all be foreshadowing to the fact Ross and Oscorp would eventually lose control of the damn thing somewhere down the line.

Maybe the symbiote could be experimented with and create Carnage?

That, too. Goodness, Pete's daughter is going to have her hands full down the line.

As a huge fan of Raimi's SpiderMan 1-2 I would've loved to see him in the MCU. Hell, I would've loved to simply see SpiderMan 4.
I know Raimi's movies aren't for everyone but it pains me to see them bashed so much by MCU fans. Truth is Raimi is a better director than almost anyone else who has touched a comic book movie. SpiderMan 2 especially had such brilliantly directed action scenes and cinematography. I also really enjoyed the characterization of Peter/Spidey.
I wonder if SpiderMan 3 had been better, would the series get so much unnecessary hate? It's funny how people defended TASM series with a fierce passion saying how "true it was to the comics" and now it's generally accepted as being mediocre at best.
I'm curious to see how Homecoming turns out. Personally I don't see it coming close to the original two, especially after that Stark heavy trailer.

I love how these users try to act like MCU fans are the enemy when I remember the scenario being the MCU and its fans always been harassed back on the original IMDb. No, it's not truth that Raimi is a better director than most of the other filmmakers to make comic book movies. In fact, I'd put him on the lower end. I never liked his Spider-Man and felt Spider-man 2 was a total bore.
To specifically state why I never liked Maguire's Spider-man: he never felt like Peter Parker to me. These films were like watching Charlie Brown with superpowers. Even when he wins, he loses. He also lacked the wit of the original character.

I wasn't singling them out in anyway. Why is everything an us vs them battle? My top ten comic book movies include: Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Civil War and The Avengers. Don't make me your boogie man. i believe that Raimi is a great director. Just because you disagree does not make me wrong. You can hate whatever movie you like. That's your right. But don't act like yours is the only opinion and anyone who disagrees is your enemy. These are just movies. It's not a war.

Sorry about that. IMDb kind of trained me into an "us vs. them war" mindset.

Sorry about that. IMDb kind of trained me into an "us vs. them war" mindset. It's alright. I remember how hostile it was over there on the comic book movie boards. Personally I am fan of most of the MCU but also Fox's X Men, Raimi's SpiderMans and WB's TDK trilogy so I never really got into the whole one studio Against all the others thing. I just pick and choose which ones I like. I'm even open to future DCCU movies even though I hated BvS and MoS. That being said I actually posted here because I really liked your alternate plan for Raimi's Spidey in the MCU and never meant to cause offense. In retrospect I probably shouldn't have specifically called out "MCU fans". I just get overly defensive of SpiderMan 1-2 sometimes.

I'd love to like the X-Men films, but I feel like those movies are retreading old material too much. How many more times does Magneto need to lose everything, go bad, and then redeem himself? I really hope the DCEU films get it together, but I have my doubts.
Sorry, again, I shouldn't have taken it that way. Thank you for your compliment.

Despite some of their flaws I really enjoy the first two as well as DoFP. But Apocalypse didn't do it for me at all. As for DC, WW looks good but my expectations are low. I don't expect anything good from JL though.

The only downside to using Sam Raimi Spider-Man is the waste of Venom and Dead Norman Osborn. It's comics, they can always be brought back / reused.

A bit harder to justify in a film.

A bit harder to justify in a film. I respectfully disagree!

Fair enough, but how would you justify bringing them back?

Fair enough, but how would you justify bringing them back? I haven't really thought about the plot, but certainly ( in the comics ) the Venom Symbiote has had more than one host. And ( in the comics ) Norman Osborne, after dying the same way he did in SPIDER-MAN (2002), came back to life.

I was more talking about Osborne, by the way. Hmm, I suppose they could have resurrected him at the end of the Infinity Wars as a side effect of Spider-Man's intervention.

Yeah, I mean the justification for bringing him back in the movies would basically be "because they wanted to" lol

When I said "justification", I meant "explaining it well."
