www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7771515/Cruzeiro-fans-clash-riot-police-fight-stands-throw-seats-pitch.htmlCruzeiro's final match of the season was abandoned before the end of play on Sunday after fans ripped up seats and threw them at players after the team were relegated from Brazil's first division for the first time in their history. The referee abandoned the game with some five minutes remaining shortly after Palmeiras' second goal condemned the home side to a 2-0 defeat. Police fired stun grenades as angry fans threw objects and fought on the terraces and officials decided it was not safe for the players to continue.

Luigi (remember him?) Was a big Cruzeiro fan. He must be crushed. I think Cruzeiro was one of only three teams that had never been relegated.

Flamengo and São Paulo. Corinthians has been relegated at least once, if not twice, in spite of being one of the most popular clubs in the country.
