So... what cases are you 99.9999% sure about when it comes to you theory? On the opposite end, what cases (if any) are you less than 1% sure about on any theory?
Bonus question for extra credit: are there any cases where you were 99.9999999% sure of the answer/whatever (answer is the wrong word, I know!) and it turns out you were wrong?

There's nothing I'm that sure about. As for one I got wrong, it was a local murder where the victim had gone to a movie earlier that day with a friend. She was attacked in her apartment when she returned home. The friend left town later that day and was never located. I thought he was very likely the killer. Turned out he was not. She had walked in on burglars and they had killed her.

In Australia we currently have a trial for the Claremont Serial Killer, which occurred in the 90s. The police had a prime suspect who they spent millions of dollars surveilling. And the murders stopped. I thought they had their man. Turns out he was innocent. The real killer wasn’t discovered for 20 years. I didn’t think the cops could get it so wrong. Turns out they got a lot wrong in that case.

DNA from one of the murder victim’s fingernail matched his. He’s arguing cross contamination or being framed or something. Trying to argue against the integrity of the DNA evidence. He may not be found guilty for all three murders but he’ll probably go down for at least one and I think he committed the others. The cops really screwed this up. They never charged the first suspect, but focussed their attention completely on him. The fact that the murders stopped (in that vicinity at least) when the first suspect was arrested was what made me think they had the right guy. Anyway the Western Australian police force have tried to clean up their act since then. This was a cold case like EAR/ONS which DNA improvements cracked only in recent times.

Where the killer hails from, the Huntingdale area, is the poor area. Claremont and the western suburbs is the wealthy area.
