Neil Innes died yesterday aged 75. RIP Neil Innes: Monty Python songwriter dies aged 75Am a huge fan of Neil Innes, and it is with great sadness to read of his passing. He was a member of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, who were members of the TV show, 'Do Not Adjust Your Set', where he rubbed shoulders with future Monty Pythons, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, which led him to write songs for Monty Python, and also led to him creating, 'The Rutles'. I once met him, asking him if Keith Moon ever came to his house, he told me he used to go round frequently, and once smashed up his son's toy drum kit. Noting the look of horror creeping across my face, he quickly added that Keith Moon promptly bought a new kit a couple of days later. RIP Neil, and thank you for everything.
