I frickin' called it was going to be Jan who's been killing everyone; it was so obvious. Just as obvious that they're going to undo it all now that everyone besides Shawn is dead.
Jesus tap dancing Christ, this....whatever this is.... is so fucking stupid. It's more comical than dramatic, they might as well be playing up the camp.
Did Jan get a good deal on bulk butchers knives or something? I mean, if you're going to kill a bunch of people with a knife, why leave it behind, rather than take it with you for the remainder of your murder spree?

Belle and Philip's deaths were actually a relief because it means any miniscule chance that this wasn't going to be undone is now gone. It's extremely unlikely but technically possible they'd kill off Chloe or Mimi like this. Not Philip or Belle. They're too important to characters onscreen. What would they do on the mothership, just have Victor/Kate and John/Marlena get phone calls informing them their kids are dead? That and I believe it's already been confirmed Martha Madison has filmed another guest run on Days next year so... Belle's fine.

Man, this whole thing has been so bad, it's literally laughable. Like watching Shawn manhandle Belle's dead body and the way he kept whacking the obviously fake knife glued to her chest seriously cracked me up. So the deaths were part of her screen play or story or whatever, yet the mini-reunion was real....Yeah, alright, whatever... Heather Lindell still looks pretty good, not that any of them look bad; JKJ seriously needs to start fucking aging. I always like Heather Lindell's chemistry with either Jason or Brandon over Martha Madison. I obviously didn't want Jan to be with Shawn. Maybe find a way to swap actresses or something; strange things have happened on Days. I've always had a hard time accepting Martha as Belle ever since then. I've warmed up to Brandon over the years, but I don't know, Martha has just never done it for me as Belle; so I've never cared much when they've come back or been written off, which I think is a real shame being two pretty important legacy characters.

I think Heather looks great and fit right back in. Especially since she never actually worked with Brandon before, Shawn was still Jason when Jan went in the coma. (By the way, it's weird but also cool how the show's just like "Fuck it. Just show the flashback with whomever was playing the part. Jason Cook and Heather Olson? No problem! Kirsten and Farah? Go for it!")
There's a nice interview with Heather on the app too, and she seems really fun and engaging in real life. She mentioned after the show ended she went to New York and did Broadway for awhile, but that she's since moved back to LA, had kids, and stopped acting. She should really consider getting back into it. And Jan's totally the type of character who I can see on the show for an arc. One thing I love about the show these days is that they're much more freewheeling about who's on canvas. Before it was like "You're on contract or you're not, and if you're not, we never see or hear about you." Now we've got Shawn, Belle, Sami, Lucas, Vivian, Carrie, Mimi and whoever else just coming on for little visits and arcs. It's refreshing. I think if we ever get any of the Last Blast crew back on canvas, they should bring Jan on for a bit. Have her cause mischief, get carted off to Bayview, and wait in the wings to come back again.
