assuming the subject matter is acceptable enough to your tastes (i.e. you're okay with prison as a backdrop and setting for a story).
I've seen plenty of women in prison movies but not many men in prison movies. I think Escape From Alcatraz and The Great Escape are the only men in prison movies I've seen. Those are great. I just found The Great Escape in a thrift shop for a dollar. That was a really good dollar.
A Prophet is a really good prison film. The Confession by Costa Gavras is really good too. Intense.

I'm always telling the truth. I've seen lots of great movies, but I don't have time to see everyone single movie on IMDb's top 250 list so I've only seen 22% of the movies on IMDb's Top 250 list. Heck, I have a long list of To Do from last decade that I haven't had time to do. imgur.com/6p3ZADQYou lie constantly about the MCU! You fail to mention that Infinity War and Endgame are both in the top 250 on IMDb. They must be pretty good, or is the top 250 biased or in favor of MCU? Because God forbid those films can't be good enough to be on the top 250, because in your head, they're some of the worst films ever made. Also, you failed to tell me how Captain Marvel made a ton of money even though audiences on RT clicked thumbs down on it, or how RT is biased in favor of the MCU. Oh just wait until Black Widow comes out.

I think Batman Begins is the better comic book movie but TDK is a better film overall.
BB feels like such a comic book story with Scarecrow poisoning the water supply with crazy gas and the Arkham inmates breaking out. TDK is more of just a straight up Michael Mann style crime thriller.
I would also say that Batman Begins is a better Batman movie whereas TDK is a Joker movie.
TDKR is an incredible disappointment.
As far as in comparison to Marvel, I’m not sure if they’ve made a better film than TDK. The Winter Solider and Infinity War would be the top contenders.

It’s kind of like how ‘Skyfall’ is the best film that has Daniel Craig as James Bond, but ‘Casino Royals’ is a better James Bond film. In fact, I’m just going to say it - ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ is a better Spider-Man film than ‘Spider-Man 2’, which was still a great film on its own, but kind of too drama-heavy for a Spider-Man film.

Far From Home better than Spiderman 2? This Marvel board is resembling a crack house each day. Seriously. Alfred Molina staring at cars passing by for an entire movie would be better than Far From Home you know that right?

Like I’ve said ‘Spider-Man 2’ was a bit drama-heavy by comparison. Even the first film wasn’t that drama-heavy.

I would still consider Spider-Man 2 the best Spider-Man movie and I love Tobey Maguire.. but I never thought of Tobey as the "fun" Spider-Man I remember as a kid. I think the MCU ones feel more comic accurate simply because of Tom Holland's performance IMO.
If I could go into the multiverse and watch Spider-Man 2 starring Tom Holland it would be incredible.

To be fair, I think ‘Spider-Man’ captured fun side of the character quite well, albeit inspired by more classic comics.

FFH was driven by gutless fanservice, SM2 didn't have any nostalgia to tap into. I suppose it's just because back then there wasn't much competition so people could ignore its problems.

I guess my faves are a tie between Amazing Spider-Man 1 and Homecoming.

What are some of the reasons that you liked them the best? I liked Andrew and Tom more than Tobey, and I appreciated their love interests not being annoying like Raimi MJ was. And for how the story kept the focus on Peter Parker and not the villain being the scene-stealer.
