I know this is nothing new for Days and has been discussed in the past, but man, the last few episodes I've really notices some scene changes/continuity that are just baffling when you think about them from a real world, logistical stand point.
Like the other day when "Hope" and Rafe are at the police station and the dna results from the cigar come in - you have Gabi and Eli coming in to report the damage to her store; so Hope convinces Rafe to take Gabi and Eli into another room to get their statement, while she handles the dna report. Fast forward and Eli and Gabi are back at the mansion, getting cozy (in bed, I think; and possibly changed into other clothes) while Hope is still sitting at the fucking computer staring at the same screen as before, with Steve's picture.
Then we Ciara visiting Ben at the prison; she leaves, manages to get all the way back home to the Kiriakis mansion, all while Ben is still sitting in the meeting room, by himself, in order to still be there when Xander shows up....
The one the really took the cake for me though was the whole thing with Kayla confronting Steve; because after she leaves John and Marlena's, Marlena follows her and only manages to catch up to her at the fucking hospital. Not only that, Kayla's put on her lab coat - so in this scenario, Kayla walks out of the apartment/condo/townhouse/whatever, Marlena follows less than a minute behind her, but doesn't catch up with Kayla in the hallway or ostensibly the elevator. Kayla gets to her car and drives away, so Marlena gets in her car and....follows her? Driving all the way to the hospital; they both park, but again, Marlena still doesn't catch up to her. Kayla goes all the way inside, and I don't know how it works for doctors, but I assume she punches in or something to let staff know shes' there; stops by her office for her lab coat. One might think she has emails to answer, and it's not like she's trying to catch up to anyone, she's just settling into work. Meanwhile, according to "Steve" yesterday, he was waiting on John and Marlena to come down to breakfast; so presumably Marlena wasn't on her own way to work yet, if she even had to go in that day. But on the other hand, Rafe said in an earlier scene that he was about to take a break to have lunch with David, so the fuck knows what time of day it is, or even if it has any meaning whatsoever in Salem.
I think we've long since agreed that the only possibly explanation is that all of these locations, the prison, the townhouse, Victor's mansion and the Dimera mansion and the hospital are all basically built as some sort of spiraling clustered structure, where one location feeds directly to another; and straddles at least two if not somehow three separate time zones...
