I've seen it twice now and there's two things that confuse me.
1. How did Marta get blood on her shoe? She was at the far end of the room from Harlan when he cuts his throat.
2. Why did Fran not realise Ransom would try to kill her? If she suspected he murdered his own grandfather and she brought along no means to protect herself and she had the only piece of (what she thought was) incriminating evidence, why on earth did she think he wouldn't simply kill her? Am I missing something or is Fran just a bit dim?

I didn't like the film as much as a lot of other people did, partly because I thought a lot of things were made too convoluted just to confuse 'us', but in doing so lost any credible sense.

"Yuo is in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world.

A droplet could bounce off even at that distance? 2. Giving someone poison remotely is quite different than killing someone facet of face with your own hands, so I suppose she didn’t think him a cold blooded killer enough to do That.

1. I don't remember this bit but a person I saw it with pointed out seeing the blood drop earlier and thought it was smart how they brought it up at the end.
2. Because it's extremely different, and far more obvious as a murder. She didn't know he was pinning it on someone else.
