Just caught this film this afternoon. I found it to be cute, maybe even syrupy at times, and also a little thought provoking. It didn't catch much press when it came out, at least as far as I saw, as I didn't even know the film existed. It's labeled as a fantasy/comedy/drama, stars Will Farrell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah, Dustin Hoffman with some pretty good performances, IMHO from all involved. I wanted to share that it is streaming on IMDb TV for free, and wondered what forum to post it in. I think for some reason it fits here as well as any. If you are already familiar with IMDb TV, you already know how to get it streaming. If not, follow the link, and the page for the film itself will give you the ability to play it, be it on your Smart TV, phone, tablet, PC, whatever you might have. www.imdb.com/title/tt0420223/

I enjoyed it the first time I saw it. Will Ferrell did a good job.

It got pretty good reviews when it came out. It was labelled Charlie Kaufman light by some critics and it's easy to see why. I own it on dvd. It actually made me a fan of Will Ferrel, an actor I didn't really care about before.

Saw it ion release and loved it. Should really watch it again. Will Ferrell singing Wreckless Eric and getting the girl from it is great

I think the occasional film/music/TV thread is fine, welcome even on the General Discussion board. As for the film itself. I remember quite liking it overall, interesting and as theravenking mentioned Kaufman-esque concept.
