No one’s ever asked me that. Besides, I don’t get paid by hourly rate.

Catman has always replied it was none of their business. I like, "Why in the world would you ask anyone that question?" or "Why do you ask?"

I'm a salary employee.
How much I make a year? I can't say I've lied about it because I've never told anyone.
Back when I was filling in a questionnaire for a chance to win a prize, I was filling it out aloud and on the paper.
When it came to my annual income, my mother said, "that's none of their business." So, I left it blank.
Even growing up, when we would get telemarketers, one was going to give a list of options for that question. Before he/she started with the list, I immediately say, "Uh...that's none of your business." One went as far as to say that he/she had to put something in that field. I was adamant that it was none of their business.

My only permanent/full time position was legal and with lawyers it’s often pretty known since people get to see the bill . I can’t recall lying to someone about it but then again I can’t really recall someone specifically asking me this question. But it’s simple to google how much lawyers make at which stage of their life where on average.

Nah. I pretty laugh with them at how much I make. It disarms them and even makes them feel better about themselves. Because I pretty much make shit, so in comparison they're doing well. Win win!

All men lie about two things: 1) how much money they make, and 2) their penis size. Women just lie about their age. Never saw a point in lying about age. My income? Not much point in lying either. I work for NY State. It can be looked up if someone knows my job. A guy lying about penis size? I mean how is a guy going to fool the lady if it gets that far (and if it doesn't who cares??)

I've lied. I usually downgrade how much I make because I don't think it's any of their business but I'm too polite (or scared) to say so.

You didn't complete the application and that's why you didn't win the prize.
Darn it! I figured that was the reason!
Speaking of that (going completely off-topic):
In Grade 7, we had a reward system. I can't remember the specifics of it. I do remember that if we got 100% on a spelling test, we would get a ticket. At the end, we would hold draws for prizes.
I could have won like 4 or 5 times, but apparently, I didn't fold the ticket properly. So, I was disqualified.
I had no idea. Either that, or I was told, but wasn't paying attention. It was grade 7, so it was probably the latter.

Not that I can remember. I prefer to tell the truth but when somebody asks me a nosy question, I have no problem lying.
