Rumours are swirling that character actor LaKeith Stanfield is reuniting with leading man Daniel Kaluuya, following the success of Jordan Peele's satirical horror 'Get Out' (2017). The project's working title is 'Jesus Was My Homeboy' and the film is said to be about the Black Panther movement. Martin Sheen is set to portray J. Edgar Hoover, former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in this new project from director Shaka King.
"Jesus Was My Homeboy will look at the rise and death of Black Panther activist Fred Hampton. Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield are reportedly being considered for roles in the upcoming film, Jesus Was My Homeboy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, which will be produced by Ryan Coogler and distributed by Warner Bros., will depict the assassination of Black Panther activist Fred Hampton."

Stanfield has evoked memories of a young Giancarlo Esposito for some movie fans, the erudite, motor-mouthed, hat-twirling heartbeat of Spike Lee's stock company in the early years. The future's looking bright for Mr. Stanfield.

Spike Lee & Giancarlo Esposito
If Spike Lee's looking for new blood to pump into his revolving stock company, hopefully he'll give Stanfield a shot; that's one cinematic collaboration I'd like to see happen.

Stanfield is a pretty underrated talent imo. Hopefully he gets himself some more projects.

Sounds interesting. Standfield I liked in everything I saw him in. It’s taken me a while to warm up to Kaluuya.

Have you warmed up a bit now? He's notoriously spikey in interviews but seems like a good guy beneath the surface, just philosophical without the use of a filter. I like him and quite enjoy his abrasiveness.

Rereading his filmography I keep forgetting he was in Sicario.

But I do think he's awesome in 'Get Out'.

Widows has like everyone in it, check out the cast. And btw I’d recommend all three.

I looked it up and it has some cast, including the great Viola Davis and my all-time favourite Australian actress, Jacki Weaver. Thanks for the recommendation.
