The New Year has, likely, dawned in many parts of the world, already.
Great hopes, for us all, in the year to come!

Oh boy! Another whole set of resolutions Catman can not make! Let it be a challenge to you, Catman. Here, we celebrate at least, 3 New Years, every year. We begin, anew, ever so often!

So it's The Year of the Rat now?
as it was in 1960, so that's why my hair turned grey!

So it's The Year of the Rat now? And suddenly everything makes sense.

The New Year has, likely, dawned in many parts of the world, already. Great hopes, for us all, in the year to come! Lucky me - I get to celebrate 3 New Years. The Muslim one, the Chinese one and the Western one (I'm parts Arab, Chinese and English. Some of my family are Muslims.)

I live in China and this is a very strange, subdued New Year. Most people, on general advice, are shut indoors. The numbers of reported cases and deaths are rising every day all across the country, but mostly in and around Wuhan. Itβs suspected that the true statistics, however, are being hidden. Travel bans are becoming widespread, bars and restaurants are closing en masse, and people are afraid to go out and socialize.
