It's sad when anyone's health fails them, but there's something even more tragic when it isn't as much life threatening but livelihood hindering-- whether it's someone who enjoys nothing more than jogging loses mobility, or like in this case, a musician losing his ability to hear. I've known people who have lived with Meneires disease and its not an easy life to deal with. As for Huey Lewis, he's often derided, his music is easy to make fun of, and yes it is so corny and manufactured but the musicianship and studio production is peak. When I bought my current stereo set up I demo'd it with Huey Lewis and Phil Collins.

^^^ What you say here makes me think of country legend Randy Travis who will only be 61 years old if he can make it to his next birthday on May 4th. I am glad that he is still here, but whenever you see him now, you can tell that a big part of his puzzle is no longer here.
