I did see them because I like Bruce Willis. I liked the first one. The last, not so much. It was pretty stupid.

The first movie is great. The second and third are good although they pale in comparison to the original. I didn't really bother with the rest. McClaine became too much of an indestructible hero and also lost his personality as he lost his hair.

I'd rank them as follows:
Die Hard 3 - even though the first one was clearly the better movie, I enjoyed this too much! Die Hard Die Hard 2 Die Hard 4 - the rise of the expressionless Willis . . . . Die Hard 5 - horrible beyond belief

The original is a special kind of magic. The second one, despite it's many plot holes, is still entertaining. My favorite bit is when McClane shows Sipowicz the gun has blanks by firing directly at him. He does this surrounded by a dozen cops and is not immediately gunned down. The third film is hugely entertaining largely in part to the chemistry between Willis and Jackson. Die Hard 4 is quite forgettable and #5 is just fucking bad.

Die Hard is one of if not my favorite movie of all time. I LOVE that movie and I LOVE 90's Bruce Willis movies even the bad ones. I enjoyed 2 and 3 and I didn't care for 4 and I refuse to watch 5. The original Die Hard just had so much going for it. A hero people could relate to, a believable villain that Rickman gave a great performance in. Die Hard was so iconic that so many movies that followed tried to be Die Hard but on a boat or on a bus. For anybody that's a fan of this movie I highly recommend the Honest Trailers version of it. Quite entertaining

I like all except the last one. It was just too over the top.

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer...Benefits of a classical education."
I like the first three but four was so bad I didnt bother watching any more.

3 1 Can't remember Die Hard 2 too well. It is not on nearly as much as the other ones for some reason 4 was stupid but had some great action sequences.
