ust something a little lighter than the usual. There is a mysterious jar of pickles that sits on the guardrail of I-270 in Des Peres, Missouri. Every time the pickle jar falls, breaks or disappears, it has always been replaced. Nobody knows who the pickle jar replacer or replacers are, the joke has been going strong for over 6 years now. In 2018 the story went national, picked up by TV and radio stations far from Missouri. The membership of Team Pickleon facebook has since risen from a few hundred nearby fans to over 2,500 from all over the world. www.atlasobscura.com/articles/why-pickles-highway-missouri?fbclid=IwAR0pgKePIbTGW6HTAfZ5BPK40xKX8OzkShHUHasNZBw91mTzeKzrZwdPmck

Sounds a bit like Kitty Jays grave on Dartmoor. Kitty was an 18th Century lass who hung herself over some love thing. As it was a less enlightened time, Kitty was denied a Christian burial in consecrated ground, so was buried at a lonely crossroad on the moor. Ever since, no matter what time of day or year you pass the spot, there are always fresh flowers on the grave. Nobody is ever seen putting them there 🤷♀️ Motorists, cyclists, and walkers who pass the grave at night often report seeing a white spectre or cowled figure at the spot. NB... The grave is still there, but poor Kitty's remains have since been dug up, and given a proper Christian burial... However, the flowers and ghosts persist to this day.
