First time ever posting so I apologize for lack of detail if I don’t provide enough. I have yet to see this case covered and the info available is hazy. www.namus.gov/UnidentifiedPersons/Case#/12191Delta Dawn was found Dec 5,1982 beneath the Dog river Bridge in the Escatawpa River. This is basically the separating line between Mississippi and Alabama. She was 3-5 years old and appeared to be well nourished. It was suspected she was the child seen with a woman walking across the bridge the night before. Apparently a number of truckers attempted to offer assistance and the mother refused and help. It is believed the mother may have jumped in the river with her to escape someone and the mother’s body was never found. However I seem to recall at some point reading an article that said an adult female was found. What is confirmed is another John Doe was found down river but he is not believed to be connected to this case.
