He's done some movies I like such as Wind Across the Everglades or 55 Days at Peking and King of Kings. I wasn't a big fan of In a Lonely Place but he did manage to get Bogart to give one of his best performances.

The Cinema is Nicholas Ray - Jean Luc Godard
Love what I've seen. Johnny Guitar is my favorite western, In A Lonely Place a Top 3 Noir. Also love Rebel and Bigger Than Life. Love the theatricality, melodrama and abstraction of his work as well as lurid color palette in his color films.

He's in my all time top ten directors - his command of composition and colour second to none. Chack out scarlet lady Cyd below finding something nasty in the bathtub
Have seen all the features except WE CANT GO HOME AGAIN and the ones I'd recommend are these
