2 years, no doubt to be reduced to 1 on appeal.

Now kick Liverpool out.
Klopp keeps whining that they have too many games to play.

Perhaps a points deduction from this year's EPL result too.

I hope the verdict stands, but I have my doubts.

I will believe UEFA is serious about this when they kick Barcelona or Real Madrid out of the Champions League...

Good to hear but knowing UEFA and all the money involved they will probably end up with a much lighter sentence if any.

FFP is flawed. If an owner wants to fund a club with his money he should have no restriction.

Good to hear but knowing UEFA and all the money involved they will probably end up with a much lighter sentence if any. won't be up to them though, will it? they have made their charges and applied the penalty, can only be changed by the Sports arbitration court. I would guess that the 2 years ban was in purpose in the expectation of it being kicked back to one (which it shouldn't). If this is over the hyper inflated sponsorship deal from another arm of their owner's financial empire, why has City got away with it in the EPL? Under FFP or whatever it is now called they should have had in the past a 12 point deduction of points, only reason for it not to have happened were it being held back to align with the same time line as UEFA.If so they should now, immediately be docked 12 points in the EPL. Either way, they will struggle to attract big names in the summer window, now.

And not just now - they should retrospectively be docked 12 points (if that is the decreed punishment) for every past season as well. Thing is I kind of agree with that previous comment about why shouldn't a wealthy owner be able to spend what he wants on his team but then, if the rules were in place that you can't just do that, then you've got to play by the rules...

I believe there is very little difference though is there not?
