Scottish band with the incredible voice of Elizabeth Fraser. Her odd singing style makes the lyrics hard to understand, but IT IS ENGLISH!

Fantastic band. I admit I got through the first track on my first Cocteau Twins LP without realising it was at the wrong speed!
Fraser's finest moment (of which there are many) for me has to be this

Top 25 band for me, close to top 20. If you were to ask me off the top of my head what popular music artist/band makes the most beautiful music, Cocteau Twins would be my immediate answer. Some of their stuff is so ravishingly gorgeous it just takes your breath away, even when you can't understand a lick of Fraser is saying. I have every album of theirs, including the superb Lullabies to Violine EP compilation. Pretty much everything they did from Head Over Heels onward is differing degrees of excellent; I have a soft spot for Treasure and Blue Bell Knoll. Here's some favorite tracks:

They make beautiful music. I also love Elizabeth Frasers involvement on This Mortal Coil.
