Best band to come out of Liverpool, and no I've not forgotten about the Beatles.

Saw them in a small venue in Lisbon last year, and they still kill it

After five albums there was a gap when McCulloch released solo albums, then the band released an album under the name Electrafixion.

Heaven Up Here is one of my favorite albums. Up until their S/T I'd say they were probably better than U2 (the band they're most compared to), but, man, they fell off a cliff after that. Most of their later albums are damn-near unlistenable. Still, there's some great, great stuff on those first five albums:

Good band. I like The Wild Swans from Liverpool also. This song is all about Liverpool.

Great band. I saw them live about 10 years ago, they were amazing.

Count me in as a fan, another one who is really all about the first 5 albums - though I don't mind Evergreen. I'd probably pick Porcupine as fave album, though it's close with the self titled one... Too many fave songs to mention them all but personal faves are Rescue, The Cutter, The Back Of Love, Higher Hell, Seven Seas, Silver, The Game, Bedbugs and Ballyhoo, Lips Like Sugar, Blue Blue Ocean, Evergreen, Nothing Lasts ForeverI have got the 2 Ian McCulloch solo albums. Candleland is very good, though you listen to it and it comes off like Bunnymen B sides. Mysterio begins brilliantly with Magical World & Close Your Eyes but then it goes downhill from there. Electrafixtion, brilliant album ( Burned), when The Bunnymen went grunge, there's not a track on it I don't like
