Its only a waste if you only watch shows you don`t enjoy.
Which i never do, i only watch shows i enjoy.
And this is just an opinion article not a factual article.
And i disagree that 99% of shows are two long.

Amazon Prime has a ton more (older) movie offerings than Netflix... which is why I far prefer that service.

Without clicking on it, is that option to play the shows at 1.25x speed?

That's impossible.

Without clicking on it, is that option to play the shows at 1.25x speed? The better option is to just watch the last episode of every series. That way you know how each story ends without having to waste hours of very important time. If every episode is a separate story then you can just watch the last 10 minutes.

Without clicking on it, is that option to play the shows at 1.25x speed? 2x (double speed).

Oh right. YouTube also has that option and that’s almost always too fast. I DON'T think I'd be able to enjoy watching a show or movie at twice normal speed. Probably wouldn't be able to remember it either, despite the article claiming one can.

RiP, IMDbMy limit would be 1.75x speed. This is ideal for those Reddit read-out stories with the automated voices that take too long to tell a story, especially if it’s a 15- to 20-minute video.
