Absolutely. From SCTV to his comedy movies, he was terrific.

I wasn’t even born when he passed but I wished he was still alive.

Catman found him a welcome addition to those films Catman saw him in.

I was very very young when he passed away, but I miss him. He would have impressed audiences if he lived longer and took more dramatic roles which he was well capable of.

Louie Anderson is good enough for me. His "just say no to drugs" monologue is funny.

I miss him a lot, his presence in a movie just automatically made it better. Wonderful, talented man and a genuinely nice guy.

The Great Outdoors and Uncle Buck were classics. He's definitely missed. He showed a dramatic side in JFK.

I never go long without watching clips of John Candy, or my favourite movies. I like the generation of comics he sprang from, my kind of humour, extremely musical like the old school comics. But he was something special. No doubt about it.

I remember rehearsing for a concert in high school in 1994 and a teacher coming in to the auditorium and telling us that John Candy had died. He was a Canadian treasure.

Del: You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I talk too much. I also listen too much. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you... but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. Well, you think what you want about me; I'm not changing. I like... I like me. My wife likes me. My customers like me. 'Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get.
