Basically a one man band, Matt Johnson, fronted this " band", along with talented musicians but I don't remember anyone other than Johnson being associated with the band. Some big hits and I hear a new album to come.

Soul Mining & Infected are two of the best albums of the 80s

Some big hits and I hear a new album to come. The only person I can recall always associated with them is his brother for the art work, the late great Andy Dog. It was a bit of a big deal at the time when Johnny Marr joined the band. He did surround himself with some real talents. Jools Holland's piano solo on "Uncertain Smile" is one of my all time favourite instrumental breaks. The new album I believe is another soundtrack (his fourth I think). It is preceded by a 7" release on Record Store Day

Have a soft spot for Mind Bomb also the last album Naked Self. Before Soul Mining there was of course Burning Blue Soul, originally released under his own name but later rereleased under The The.

The Some Bizzare album introduced me. Often see comments about three plus solid albums released successively by any number of artists - And Soul Mining, Infected, Mind Bomb & Dusk are up there. After Dusk came Hanky Panky and from it this track with Johnson playing with The Chrysler Building while belting out a rocking Hank Williams number.
Who cares, dig the tune and scenery.
