Seriously! Who thought introducing Lex Luther by walking up to him nailing a three pointer like he's Steph Curry was a good idea? What in the hell does that have to do with his character, or the tone of the film, or anything. It's the most laughably out of place, random idea I've ever seen.
Is there any character introduction in all of comic book films that is more random than this?
Or that says more about how bad the entire DCU is than this?

I think they might have thought they where modernising him. Making him like a young and hip CEO that likes to hang with his employees. Or at least he wanted the governor to see him that way. Doesn't matter what they where thinking, scene was dumb.

Doesn't matter what they where thinking, scene was dumb. Likely what they were trying to do, and utterly failing. Because we're so impressed with Lex's three point shooting ability. That just really builds his character. Why didn't they have him at the top of a 10 man waterski pyramid. That would have really shown off his badassery too.

I never even thought of that scene. It's just a quick way to show he has some athletic skills. There have been a whole lot of worse character intros. For example, in this movie, Flash's appearance in Bruce's dream, mostly because I couldn't understand wtf he was saying.

Not an intro, but the Catwoman basketball scene was hilariously awful.
