As people follow health authority recommendations to self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic, people are left twiddling their thumbs at home.
Unsure of what to do or how to pass the time, pet owners have started playing with their pets in different ways. Instead of going for walks or cuddling up to their animals, people are playing tic-tac-toe with a twist.
By letting their animal point to different spots on the game grid, people have figured out a way to actually play a proper game in the comfort of their own homes. Unsurprisingly, however, most of these pets are complete trash at the game and are being smashed by their owners.
One of the most popular videos of this is Iqra Nabi’s game with her cat, Taz. The game has been viewed over 730,000 times on TikTok and another 17 million times on Twitter in just 24 hours. In the video, Taz loses and in response, Iqra puts her middle finger up at her sore loser cat.
Another popular game is one between Avery and her pet turtle, Scott. Set to the Kokiri Forest tune from ‘The Legend of Zelda’, Avery’s not-so-friendly game of tic-tac-toe has had almost 12 million views on TikTok and another 25 million on Twitter.
