Like Iggy Pop once sang, I feel alright. 1969 must have been a lot better than 2020 though

Money, my house that I invested in and spend all of my time in, my neighborhood that I live in. Nobody to help me. Being homeless. I would turn over a new leaf if I could make it all go away - but that is not on the table. No peculiar woman in a white suit carrying a magic reality calculator is going to knock on my door and say "So you were interested in becoming a good man finally... I have a deal for you..." It's like I am becoming delusional. It has been a two week panic attack. I would get them before, about very small things. I could give myself a panic attack if I thought about certain things. Now, that is impossible. I am constantly there. It feels like it's impossible to have a panic attack if you are stuck in a permanent one. sorry to hear all of that. consider us your support group. I believe things will get better again. Some jobs may be eliminated now/for now but other jobs will pop up Because of the situation. And the government will make some adjustments on taxes and interest and maybe even mortgage payments. Dont give up just yet . We are all in it together. I am watching my money diminish as we speak, losing some every day too. I may not have problems on your level and am not dealing with panic attacks (yet at least) so for now I can at least try and support others by listening to them, offering advice in case they want it, or just overall support and encouragement. do u have the opportunity to talk to a mental health professional?

Pep StreebeckThis might be a good time to read a book that you haven't had time to read because you were busy doing other stuff. OR to watch those movies on YouTube you've been wanting to see. OR maybe just organize your sock drawer

To Pep, and to all my IMDB buddies who are feeling, in the words of No. 2 son, stressed and depressed: Doing all right here, Pep--thanks for asking. My sister gave us (my husband and me) quite a scare, by coming down with flu that morphed into pneumonia. At our age range (we're all retired) that illness is no joke...not that it ever is! Since she got sick before the "shelter in place" order came down, we sort of got a head start on the stay-at-home stuff. Also, our doctor (we share the same one) insisted she get tested for Corona, which as you might imagine didn't help our anxiety level. Too bad there's no nail-biting emoji--this would be a good place to insert one of those! Her test results came back negative. Anyway, pneumonia-wise, she's made great progress--knock wood--and pretty soon, she should feel up to taking a short drive. Drive?? I hear you say. You're supposed to stay home!! Well, we'll have to take her back to the doctor's office for a follow-up/all-clear visit, won't we? And maybe--just maybe--on the way home, we can stop by a restaurant that's still offering take-out. Are we livin' large, or what?

Coincidently Each time a crisis happens I am unemployed of my own choice and thus not entitled to any benefits or anything. I mean I just quit like a week ago… new good things will come. we will prevail. i am sure of it.

Family arguments are well underway at this stage. Have a bit of a cough myself, but it's been there on-and-off for weeks, ever since I had a bad cold some weeks back. I have a history of chest infections, so don't think it's COVID-19.

today my husband and I are going to a county park to walk in the sun. Parks have been empty, so don't think we'll come across many people. It's a huge park with a lot of walking paths.

It always feels good to get outside. I totally understand the "stay inside" mandates for areas where it is very crowded. I live in a metro type US area, where were are very accustomed to "social distancing". It is how we live here. When anyone comes to visit one of the first things they say is "Why is everyone so unfriendly?" We are totally separated, and talking to people you don't otherwise know usually results in them stepping back and thinking "am I about to be assaulted?" I don't live in the super suburban area - but still we have our own houses, get in our cars to go anywhere, etc. So the "social distancing" lifestyle is something we have practiced constantly, just because we don't like people that we don't know.
That being said, it may be appropriate for some people to stay inside. People where walking out of your front door would be in the center of a busy city. But if you're in an area where you can go outdoors, probably so much better. Simply going for a walk sounded ridiculous to me before all of this. Sure I walked my dog when he was here. But now I'm noticing it does help.

Been stuck in the house for a week. Just want to get some fresh air and air out the house.

went to the store wearing my respirator mask. felt a bit weird about it, but at the end of the day, i am doing what best for the healthcare and other workers, my bank account and the old people i meet…
feeling fine, but am concerned on the mental toll this takes on other people. especially older people or depression prone people. my mom seems to be fairly concerned about it all right now, so spending a good amount of time on the phone with her trying to be positive. and the positive thing is, this situation:
1. will prepare us well for the next and More serious one 2. will bring a lot of poeple together in solidarity 3. will create a lot of humor 4. will make companies FINALLY see that remote work is a reasonable thing to do for your workers if they dont need to be someone in person, and no, making your boss feel better that you are there and they can SEE you work is not a "need to be there" thing. 5. will give us more time to spend on things we postpone or with people we dont normally spend time with and also reshift our values for better I think.
