Overall a good movie. Though I can't decide if I prefer the ending showing at how true love will win and even turn a hardcore secret organization soft and flexible or if it should have given us a tragic ending where the boy gets lobotomized since he did reveal the secrets. In a way I am disappointed they did not do this as a warning to the girl and since the AB made it seem like it was set in stone with no exceptions.
So I just may have to create my own ending that they did not get away and everything we see after the rooftop is all in his head.
What do you think? Fine as it is with yet another goddamn happy ending or should it have been different?

I liked the ending. Sure, it was kind of sappy, but it worked based on what transpired.

I remember liking it. Only saw it once though. Reading its wiki page, apparently they were gonna reveal the Chairman as a woman(!) played by Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, 24, House of Saddam).

Which is ironic to be calling her a "chairman" for an organization whose sole purpose is to make things right!

It didn't really bother me, though I guess it does seem somewhat arbitrary in retrospect. I think it worked with the overall tone of the movie, that sense that one could rebel against fate.

It never delves unto its material enough at all.
