It seems a lot easier for former movie stars to get work on TV than in theatrically released movies.

Part of the reason is TV these days has more choices and risk-taking compared to movies.

They're not considered to be bankable movie stars. Yes, most people know who they are, but not that many would buy tickets to see a movie just because they're in it.
It seems that SHOWGIRLS and Rob's sex tape are what damaged their careers.
