I'm just a fan of pretty much everything these guys do. But really, if you thought Ween was a joke band or just the guys who have a Spongebob song... This one is just flat out amazing to me every listen. Heavy Beatles influence here.

Thanks, I don't think I know anything by Ween though they're a band I've long been interested in, so I'll bookmark this and give it a listen a bit later.

This one's a tad melancholy, but awesome throughout. I've been on an extended Ween ride. They can be silly, druggy and irreverent. And they can also nail a lot of things. I guess they click for a small percentage of people. And for most, they don't. But something nice is within their music. Like when relistenable factor hits infinity... can't help but to say I like it!
If you want any recommendations I will be happy to post them.

White Pepper is a really good album, and the only one I own by Ween, otherwise I don't really know them.
Falling Out is my favorite track off the album.

Probably their most accessible album. Quebec is probably next accessible, with some weirder moments - but the high points are incredible.

I like it a lot, thanks. Beautiful arrangement. I'll give more of their music a listen. And it makes me feel nostalgic for that period.

I love Ween, seen them a few times live. I was at the Vancouver show where the shit hit the fan and Gener fell off the wagon ( Ween blows it at Vancouver show). They broke up after that tour (but now they're playing together again and I've started hoping for a new album someday). I've recently discovered the Australian band 'King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard' -- it's like discovering a new, younger Ween.

I've recently discovered the Australian band 'King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard' -- it's like discovering a new, younger Ween. Oh sweet. I've never seen them live. Last time they came to my area was Oct. 2018, right before I got into them. The venue was like a mile away from my house! Could have walked there. Crazy that you saw that unfortunate Vancouver show. Gener has a solo album with a song about that night, "Covert Discretion".
I'm kind of at least hoping for a "Shinola Vol. 2", they have such awesome stuff in their vaults they could rework. I just ran across this from "La Cucaracha" demos... This would be a great addition to a new compilation...
I took a look at King Gizzard before, and they seem like a little much for me! Kind of remind me of a little tighter version of CAN.
