First time father than my mailbox in three weeks. About half the people had masks. Oddly, many who I saw without masks were elders. Only one worker had a mask. I'd heard there was tape to separate people at checkout lines, but I didn't see any. Luckily there's only 22 confirmed cases in my county, about 15 in my town itself.

Are you doing anything special with the mail? When I get it I put it in a spot in my garage and open it the next day. I wash my hands both times I handle it. I don't plan to go to the store this week. Now you are set for 3 more weeks! Keep safe

SAVE FERRIS Yeah, it's basically a suburban-sized town surrounded by tiny farm towns.

Honestly I like going to the store across the street once every few days because being in all day just driving me crazy and all I got today was just the newspaper, Coke and some gum. Thankfully I'm still working otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

I've said it before on here that the people who should be the most scared of this virus are the ones who aren't. They've already seen the worst that this world has had to offer. I'm out in the stores every day and it's consistent.
As far as the mail, I open it all in the garage, disinfect, wash my hands, then disinfect again. All packaging never enters my house.

At Publix they had a taped sign on the floor at the end of the checkout counter that said "Help us practice social distancing. Please wait here until the customer in front of you leaves... bleh." I didn't see it, so I walked up and laid my items on the conveyer belt. Everyone stares at me...the checkout lady screamed at me, "Sir please wait there for your turn." I was confused for a few milliseconds until I looked and saw the sign. You'd think everyone just found out I slept with the manager's wife or something.

Catman went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription today. It's located inside a medical clinic, so to get inside, you have to been screened by having your temperature taken and answering questions about whether you've been exposed to COVID-19. In the pharmacy itself, they've erected plexiglass shields the length of the counter. The pharmacy technician said she felt like she was in a zoo exhibit.

We started getting our Prescriptions by mail. Our pharmacy is right in the Kaiser hospital! Not exactly where one wants to go now. Our hesitancy has always been the lack of temperature control on hot or cold days. Some meds have temperature issues. The plexiglass is a good idea

Over the last 3 weeks, I have started visiting some of the local corner-stores, and independent produce stores, for "basics." I haven't been to a supermarket, since we were told to shelter-in-place, on March 17. For major shopping, I have used "Instacart," to order from the larger markets.
The smaller stores have taped markings to indicate where to stand in-line for checkout. A couple of stores have taped markings to indicate your place in line to ENTER the store. But, those waiting regulations seem to be softening.
I still don't want to do my wash at the laundromat, which is pretty much an accepted way of life for apartment dwellers, here. However, the laundry that is just across the street, does a "wash 'n fold," for a very good price. They know me, as I've been taking dry-cleaning there, for years. I use it for sheets, towels, and some clothing items. I may stay with that.
The only time I've needed a prescription was when I had a flare up of Eczema on my arms, just after lock down began. Fortunately, my history of it is reflected on my chart at Kaiser, so my primary care physician just filled the usual prescription, and they sent it by their delivery service.
Next challenge: A HAIRCUT.

My hair is shoulder length! How long have we been shut down?? Lol
