Personally I think it's a crackpot theory. First, it is very "snowflakish" and egocentric, thinking one is the center of the universe. It's probably a result of capitalist materialist selfishness. I've never taken it seriously enough to really investigate it. It is about materialism and the vehement notion of self really. Solipsism is an out to justify ones sense of ownership and possession.
