with someone exposed or recovered from Covid-19? I was in a cab yesterday and the driver said had a passenger last month who had the virus. She apparently lysols her backseat, but that made me scared. Also I checked out a customer at work and as I bagged her groceries she said she had it back in December as well.

Luckily there are very few cases where I live. Hoping it stays that way.

My best wishes I have only been in a cab in the US once. Lol That was the first thing I noticed about your post. Why were you in a cab? Do you use them often??

I believe most of us have been exposed one way or another but perhaps not in a close enough proximity. From what is on the news it seems it is Not airborne, and even though it may survive on surface for some time, it would still require you to a) touch that same surface and b) touch your mouth/nose/eye/bum with it. that is something that is under your control in the cab. do you carry a hand sanitizer/ sanitizing cloth with you? use that after you are at a foreign place touching other surfaces or wash hands before you touch yourself or your food and you should be fine. as far as contact with customers now thats a diff story. did they give you some plastic shield or barrier or something between you and the customers, or just distance?

Sadly, I actually had to raise this question with my boss who stumbled over his words a little. I asked my doctor about the cab, the nurse responded with viruses only live on surfaces for a few hours at a time so as long as it wasn't that day in question, I suppose I should be okay. I am feeling like I do have a weird throat but thats all as of now.

I hope customers are wearing masks. Almost everyone had one on when I went to the store the other day. There were also shields up at the register
They have someone at the door spraying and wiping the shopping cart handle when you come in
