Unfortunately there's not much land in urban centers to have drive-ins. The very last drive-in near me was turned into a warehouse distribution center last year.

I haven't been to one in years. We used to lay blankets down in the back of the truck and watch the movie from it.
Not sure how they would fare in this day and age.

It would be a perfect time! Keeps the 6' distance and let's families stay together and still have the "cinema experience."

Occasionally I see one when travelling, makes me nostalgic. The drive-ins in my hometown shut down decades ago because they had become hangouts for teenagers who were causing too much damage and trouble. Having been one of the troublemakers I now feel bad about it.
