Egypt seems like a very apt place for making period movies but you can mention movies of any age.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Mummy (1999)
The Mummy (1932)
Death on the Nile
The Spy who Loved Me
Valley of the Kings (1954, proto-indiana Jones)
Charlie Chan in Egypt
Haven’t seen Land of the Pharaohs yet, but it’s on my list: I love Ancient Egypt and Howard Hawks movies.

This thread is right up my alley. I love films set in Egypt, although usually the "period" type ones.
The Ten Commandments (1956 although the silent version is pretty good) The Egyptian Land of the Pharaohs The Mummy (1932 1959 and 1999) Valley of the Kings Gods of Egypt (critically panned, but I actually think it's a lot of fun) Cleopatra (1934 and 1963) Lion of Thebes (Italian sword and sandal) The Awakening (great thriller based off the old Bram Stoker book, one of Charlton Heston's last live action films) The Sphinx

I am going to take a number of suggestions from this thread but the first one that I am planning on watching is Land of the Pharaohs. Egypt and particularly ancient Egypt sounds very fascinating to me.
