And she has given me a loving smile, a pot of coffee and the the suggestion that I start plastering the kitchen.
I love that woman but I tell you, when civilization collapses and plague stalks the land she will smile sweetly and say, I was wondering, since the plague cart won't be here for a bit, do you think you could put a bit of emulsion on the walls in the front room?

Thanks guys, but I reckon there are more 73 year old men being worked to death by loving wives than will ever die from Covid 19. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) My husband (only a few months away from 70), does plenty of work on his own, without prodding from me. And when I tell him, "You didn't have to do that," he'll say, "I needed to. It was therapeutic." (And there's no denying that being stuck at home can make a person feel depressed, so if working helps ease that, who can argue with it?) Sometimes, all the stuff he does makes me feel guilty...but then again, he chose to do whatever that task was...I didn't have to push him into it. And of course, now and then, he inspires me to get off my well-padded duff and do something comparably useful--for which he's always appreciative. Yes, I do know how lucky I am!
