I still think a true adaption of Heart of Darkness would be exceptional. I know Apocalypse Now is an adaption but I'm talking turn of the century ivory trading. I'm reading it right now again for about the 20th time. It's just an excellent work.

I hadn’t heard... that’s exciting news. It’s a wonderful novel which deserves to be done justice.

Also not a fan of who they cast as Arthur. Wow! Yes, that’s odd casting to say the least... Arthur is late middle age when things kick off, from what I remember. Perhaps Bernal is only playing him as a younger man? There will be scenes exploring his earlier life.

Shit an 50 year old Shatner would be ideal. I also realize hes Canadian, maybe Eric McCormick?.

John Irving 1. A Son of the Circus 2. A Prayer for Owen Meany - a proper adaptation instead of that perversion known as Simon Birch (1998).
Isaac Asimov - The Foundation Trilogy 1. Foundation 2. Foundation and Empire 3. Second Foundation
Anne Rice - Lives of the Mayfair Witches 1. The Witching Hour 2. Lasher 3. Taltos
1. Queen of the Damned - a better adaptation which features the origin of vampires unlike that 2002 joke of a story.
Mary Stewart - The Merlin Trilogy 1.The Crystal Cave 2.The Hollow Hills 3.The Last Enchantment
Xenophon - Anabasis - the original ancient setting, not a modern version like The Warriors (1979).
