Every year we have a garden. I should say my husband had a garden. All I do is harvest. And cook!
This year the shut down came right when we were planning to get seeds or plants.
As gardeners know there is a sweet spot for timing. We missed it.
I did go to Walmart and buy 2 tomato plants. But we do not have our normal garden. Oh well.. I am glad for what I got:
Carrots tomatoes asparagus

WKD wants to grow lettuce in a tub, if we can get to Lowes by May 15th, he plans to buy a garden tub and dirt and some lettuce plants. There's a long growing season here in the Mobile area. I still need to get some flowers for my Talavera pots I put out front.

I don`t have a garden so i am not planting my own vegetable.
I could of course plant vegetables on my veranda, but i am not doing that either.
If i had a proper garden i would probably try to plant something.

Too cold and too early in the season. Parsley and sage doesn't die so have that. The garlic and lettuce left over from last year has sprouted as well.

enigma72 Growing your own blueberries is a pita .. have to amend the soil to get the right pH etc. Unless your soil is naturally "right" ... google blueberries for details before investing in plants. Raspberries turn into weeds if allowed to run wild. Delicious weeds tho' !

Sorry, I missed this post earlier. I've got several tomato plants, some okra and zucchini seeds. Should have already been planted, but it's been too wet and cool so far. I want to plant some flowers but won't mess with seeds. Hopefully I can get some plants without getting around too many people. I also have some dill seed to plant for the butterflies.
I have blueberry plants in the garden and chives that come back every year. I planted raspberries years ago in a row in the side yard, but rarely pick them as the birds usually get them first. Because of this I have raspberry plants in all of my flower gardens because of the birds 'planting' seeds for me. I try to get rid of most of them, but if they aren't bothering the flowers, I just leave them alone.

I have 2 apricot trees on my property. Had a bumper crop last year. Was actually able to eat a few tree-ripened ones before the crows or squirrels got them. Nice!

nutsberryfarm π cool! what varietal do you rec? nutsberryfarm π: Nuts, not sure what kind I've got, but I'd recommend them for the Pacific Northwest. I honestly can't remember what varietal they were. I planted them myself many years ago, but I just don't know what variety I got. They've been good, hardy trees all these years, though...

nutsberryfarm π: here's a pic of one of my trees just this past summer when it was full of apricots. Had quite a bumper crop. There's even more apricots there, but a lot of them were hidden behind leaves, lol:
