They weren't that long ago in the last five thousand years of recorded human history, and yet so little is known about them. They seem to have had a fondness for dark clothing, berets, sunglasses, and striped shirts. The males of the species were often seen with pointy little artist-type beards. I concentrate on the facial expressions which ranged from casual and fun-loving to dark and glum. It was as if these people were privy to some kind of secret to the Universe, and they were reveling in their knowledge while everyone else was playing 52 pick-up in the dark. I heard it suggested once that the Universe and everything in it is a joke perpetrated by God, and humanity was created to be the butt of that joke. I don't know if it's true. All I know is that I can see myself being a beatnik much easier than I can see myself being a goth. Enjoy.

There’s plenty known about the Beat Generation. But not about A Bucket of Blood. I could have sworn that movie starred Vincent Price. But it didn't. Looks like another call from Old Man Alzheimer

They were also heavily featured in "Bell, Book and Candle". Their hangout was the Zodiac Club.

I did not know that. "Bell, Book and Candle" is one of those films I've heard about many times but not seen yet.

THE
Catch it when you can. It is insanely entertaining with an all star cast. Anthropologist/author played by Ernie Kovacs kills it!
