I've been looking into my family tree for years so I know quite a lot about them.

I have a black-and-white photo of my maternal grandfatherβs maternal grandparents. It was taken in the '50s and they looked old.

I know a bit of their history. My former MIL did my family history for me. It was really interesting and I wish I knew more. I found out I have Scandinavian in me which I didn't realize before.

I have a photo of a pair of my great great grandparents, probably born in the 1850s or 60s. They were Jews from present day Poland which was part of the Russian Empire then.

Their names, where they lived, where they're buried, etc? I think so. They come from Lancashire and sailed for Sydney in 1790. He was a soldier in the New South Wales Corps, and they had 3 children. Their son left for Ceylon and their daughter married my great great grandfather, ending his name in the penal colony of New South Wales. He was an Irish convict transported for stealing from his emplyer, assigned to John Macarthur who created Australias sheep industry which was the source of Australias wealth until the iron, aluminium coal mining boom from the 1960s. His son married the 15 year old daughter of another Irish convict, also on assignment to Macarthur. Their son married an 18 year old London immigrant around 1870. One of their sons was my grandfather.

On my mothers side yes, i know there names, where they lived and where they are buried. Well on most of them if i am not mistaken we have 32 great great grandparents.
On my fathers side no, The only thing i do know is that two of them where from Sweden.
I can trace my mothers side of the family back to the 12th century, and my fathers only back to the 19th century.

Their names, where they lived, where they're buried, etc? Not really. About the only ones I know anything about were my mother's grandparents. They were Pikkies who lived most everywhere and were probably cremated in a field in Kent. But records are a bit scanty.

I remember well two of my eight great-grandparents. They died when I was in my late teens/early twenties. I know nothing about their parents except where they lived. I know the names of another set of great-grandparents, but again nothing about the generation before that.

On my mother's side my ancestors have been traced to the 16th century. I have also seen the picture of my maternal great-great-grandfather.
On my father's side I know only the names of my great-grandparents and the names of my paternal grandfather's brothers.

No. I only know anything about my grandparents.
My greats, I guess I know their last names, some of them, based on my parents last names. My mother's side came over from Hungary in 1911, and I know even less about my father's side.
The great-greats, nothing at all.

Their names, where they lived, where they're buried, etc? No, I do not. All I know about them are that they are from England (Paternal ancestors) & Ireland (maternal ancestors).

I know seven of the eight. One of my great grandparents has a very mysterious background that I have never been able to get to.
