I played only three arcade games with any regularity: Terminator 2 (gun shooting) The Simpsons (beat-em-up) Star Wars Trilogy (mixed genre, rail shooter)

I actually had the most fun with Crazy Taxi. Driving games are pretty safe arcade choices, & Crazy Taxi's driving mission gameplay was a fun precursor to GTA.

Oh yeah I forgot that one. The second best light gun game after The House of the Dead. Still have the PC versions of both. Really short game though, takes maybe 30-40 minutes to play through. I especially liked the second (jeep driving) episode.

those where the peak of arcades if you ask me, especially MK3/UMK3. I played those back in the day when they where new in the 1994-1996 time frame, maybe a bit beyond that to.
