Yesterday around 3:00 we took a ride upstate NY through Harriman State Park because it's a pretty drive. And you would not BELIEVE the crowds. They opened some of the parking areas, and they were jammed!!!! Everyone had masks one. The rangers were giving out tickets to cars parked along the road because they were parked illegally. They were also driving along the roads stopping cars/people who were not following protocol or the rules. There was a motorcycle accident at one point with three paramedic trucks, police and rangers there. It was still a beautiful drive. Never left the car, though. I wouldn't have gotten out because too many people!

Imagine how many new potential cases these beach-goers are going to contribute to. I'm with you. I'd have gone along for a drive but there's no way I'd have gotten out of the car much less onto the beach or tailgating like I see people doing. For such a great country, it never ceases to amaze me how me how many idiots we have. Do they really not care, or sincerely not "get it" at this point?

There were people having barbeques in the parking lot! They were wearing masks, but definitely not 6 feet apart! And more than 10 in a group!

The Darwin Awards are going to be slam-packed this year! I don't think we've ever seen this many contenders.

Does this come under the heading "Collateral Damage"? I mean, is there an acceptable number of loss of life so others can have their "freedom"?

Hey, the world's a tough place and really only the strong survive and thrive.
You guys who are afraid of your own shadows can stay home in your beds and watch Netflix, I'm going to the friggin beach.

You, and others headed "to the beach" or elsewhere, are missing the point. You are not the only one affected. If it was just your life you wanted to screw up, by all means, have at it. But the point is that you have the potential of infecting everyone you come in contact, and so forth and so on. It isn't about just you and a selfish desire to "go to the beach." It's about the lives of everyone you come in contact with who they do, and then when they bring it home, and on and on....

Thanks, I never would have known......

Each day that passes I'm convinced that 90% of the general population are actually very dumb and unintelligent.
